soundofmusic.jpgAhead of the NBC live production of "The Sound of Music" tonight at 8 p.m., starring global country superstar Carrie Underwood, we want to know what your favorite things are about the original.

Do you have a fondness for any specific character from the original?

Underwood stars in the film as Maria, a governess who leaves an Austrian convent to help a recently widowed naval officer care for his children. In the Country Weekly video below, the "Jesus Take the Wheel" singer and "American Idol" winner talked about why the production is special to her.

If you're planning to watch and want to see what others are thinking, or if you're simply interested in the general response, keep track of the performance through our live blog.
