"Despicable Me 2" doesn't hit theaters until July 3, but the star of the animated sequel made his first television appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" this week.
Steve Carell, who voices the maniacal-turned-cuddly Gru, dressed as his character for Thursday's episode, perfected his "Alberquerque" accent, and sat down with the talk show host for a quick interview.
DeGeneres even made Gru's biggest dream come true at the end of the interview, allowing him to dance along the aisles in the audience.
Former late night talk show host Arsenio Hall took home the title of the "Celebrity Apprentice" on May 20 season finale. The actor/comedian bested "American Idol" runner-up and singer Clay Aiken for the win.
