They say: Mr. Tribbiani goes to Hollywood. In NY, his friends were his family; now his family is his family, including de Matteo as his high-strung sister.
We say: Who’d have thought the most limited character on “Friends’’ had more life in him? This spinoff could work, mostly thanks to de Matteo’s brassy warmth.
