No. 19: Adam 12

The cop show 'Adam 12' was another shining moment for L.A.'s finest. The plot focused on veteran cop Pete Malloy (played by Martin Milner, pictured on right), who was still struggling with his partner's untimely death in a gun battle. Malloy gets reassigned with rookie Patrolman Jim Reed (left, played by Kent McCord). Malloy takes Reed under his wing to keep his new partner safe and to transform him into a great cop. The series ran from 1968 to 1975.
