IT'S ALL ABOUT HER

2. Jenny Schecter
“The L Word”
Played by Mia Kirshner

Wow. The gods of narcissism blessed Jenny bigtime. She was just too, too self-centered. She sucked the life out of everyone who crossed her path. And Kirshner, playing up Jenny’s vanity and chameleon-like qualities, was too, too convincing. Eventually, the “L Word” writers understood the profundity of Jenny’s annoying effect, and they played it up. But during the first couple of seasons, when we were supposed to sympathize with Jenny’s journey of self-realization, I wanted her to leave The Planet for good.
