BABY DADDY

6. 'Scrubs'
J.D.'s girlfriend gets pregnant
(May 16, 2006)

I think the idea was to give J.D. (Zach Braff) an opportunity to grow up. But getting Kim pregnant after one date — the announcement came as a season-finale gimmick — only sent the show into unnecessary plot convolutions about whether J.D. and Kim should stay together or whether J.D. belonged with Elliot. The sixth season was filled with pregnancies and babies, the symptoms of a writing crew trying to manufacture inspiration. The greatness of "Scrubs" has seriously waned as J.D.'s baby plot continues to play itself out.
