No, no, no. This event, in the middle of the fourth season, is a Jump the Shark Greatest Hit. A Smart honeymoon ensued, as did twins, over the next season and a half; but the show, created by Mel Brooks and Buck Henry, had lost its kooky essence. Occasionally a sitcom thrives with ongoing plotline developments, but most of the time it founders. Would you believe.... "Get Smart" foundered.
