TWO MUCH
4. 'Frasier'
Niles and Daphne hook up
(May 18, 2000)
Here's the classic example of a great show that stayed on the air far too long. It did not leave us wanting more. "Frasier" might happily have ended after season seven or eight with a hint of a forthcoming connection between Niles (David Hyde Pierce, left) and Daphne (Jane Leeves, center) after all his years of longing. Instead, the writers had Niles and Daphne run out on her wedding to Donny (Saul Rubinek, right) at the end of season seven, and then they spent four more seasons playing out the trials and tribulations of Niles and Daphne's love, his heart condition, and, of course, their baby.
