ETHICAL ABSURDITY

So let me get this straight. To make Denny's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) case more dire, so that he would rise to the top of the heart donation list, Izzy (Katherine Heigl) cut the power cord to his heart machine. The amusing high school melodrama of the "Grey's" gang depressingly and unstoppably set sail into ethical ridiculousness after that moment toward the end of season two. Denny's subsequent death segued into other annoying moments involving Izzy's histrionics and, later, her affair with George. But the cord — it was the harbinger of foolishness to come.
