6. EXPLETIVES NOT DELETED

Season three of Larry David's (left) brilliant kvetch series was filled with classic moments, including Larry eating a baked nativity scene. But the season finale was the height of insane comedy as Larry's restaurant opens, the chef has Tourette's syndrome, and everyone in the dining room winds up screaming out swear words in accompaniment. Of course, leading up to that climax is a series of hysterical coincidences involving a restaurant critic's thumbs and a product named Colon Cleanse. But the cursing-aloud scene perfectly encapsulates the way "Curb" can be both crude and sophisticated at the same time.
