10. Sports Night

This was the show that introduced the Aaron Sorkin style to TV audiences. Sorkin’s fast banter and issue-driven plots would later take on an epic scale in "The West Wing," but they worked perfectly in the context of an ABC sitcom about a sports show. Before its premature demise, "Sports Night" was as close as TV has come to "Broadcast News," and it gave us Peter Krause and Felicity Huffman as an added bonus.
