9. Love Monkey

Thomas Cavanagh (right) was likable but self-consciously quirky in "Ed." In CBS’s "Love Monkey," he was more natural and contemporary, as a pop music scout looking for real talent and not just mainstream best sellers. Oh, yeah, and looking for love. The dramedy had the potential to be a TV take on Nick Hornby’s "High Fidelity." Alas, it lasted only eight episodes.
