Days of Autumn
Autumn is here - a time for transition. In the northern hemisphere this means cooler, shorter days, the appearance of colorful foliage, harvest time, and feasts and festivals. Collected here are 34 photos of the season, from around the world. (34 photos total)

23 appears to be a trebuchet, not a catapult...
Vraiment de très beau shoot pour une saison magnifique. Bravo.
I love #30! All those folks in business suits standing in the middle of a wheat field in the middle of the city. Awesome juxtaposition.

love #1...missing winter :)
@ #37: Cranberries don't grow under water, but the fields get flooded for harvesting, as the berries swim on the surface and can be gathered there.
It would be fantastic to see this site CoolIris enabled, which would allow full-screen 3D viewing of all the photos.

Awesome !!!!....Thank GOD for Creating Nature !!!!
The place in Munich is the Hofbräuhaus, i've been there and its a really great experience. Awesome beer. I don't know what "Theresienwiese" is, does anyone? Anyway great pictures, love that turkey!
Andrew (#69),
The place in Munich is not Hofbräuhaus but Theresienwiese where the annual Oktoberfest is being held.
Hofbräuhaus does have a beer tent at Oktoberfest, but it's not the same place.
Fantastic pics as always, thanks!
"Theresien..." comes from "Therese" an bavarian Princess: "Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen".
"...wiese" means "grassland". The Theresienwiese is a open space of 420.000 square meter where the Oktoberfest takes place
Prost!
Rafael

Excellent photography !!!....
...
I would certainly join in the man-love for #33 . . .but as already suggested several times, #31 is the cream of the autumnal crop.

I went for #15 as well... reminded me of one of those Dalí paintings where faces are made out of dots - is it Atomic Leda I am thinking of?
All that was missing to complete an astonishing collection was a Harvest Moon...

WOW, favorite pics #12 and #16! Thanks for sharing God's beauty!!
That's my Grandma on #6. Whoa!!! COOL
I live in New England...your photo's brought tears to my eyes....Thank-You
Schitterend!
Who cares about the 'credit crisis' by seeing those beautiful photo's. This shows how amazing our nature is. And the joy is for free!!!
Although we are coming into Spring down under these photos are fanatstic. The scenes of New England bring back very pleasant memories of my time there in the early '70s. Well done to the photographers.
Hey, you should get photos of Canberra in Australia in the Autumn (Fall) and also the Southern Highlands in N.S.W. Now that really is beautiful too. I live in the tropics, so miss all that beautiful colour, but we make up for it with our tropical flowers
Thanks for sharing a photo of my hometown (Berwick, PA).
beautiful, but if you don't get out to see the 'turning', try the poconos. we trail new england by about a week. we'll peak here around Oct 25th.
I HAVE ADDED THIS SITE TO MY FAVOURITES AND WILL SHARE IT WITH MANY FRIENDS. MUCH APPRECIATED. SEE ONTARIO CDA. SOMETIME
THANKS, RON WILLIAMS
No. 100 ... Quite a number to say the least ... I hope to live to see 100 .. I would hope to see all these beautiful places and relish a few beers at the October Fest for sure ... The turning of the fall leaves are some of the best ... I think no. 31 is my favorite .. Beatuiful shot ..........................................
Some of the most beautiful pix I have seen of different areas all over the world during the changes of Autumn. All I can say is "Excellent job and most perfect pictures."
Thank You,
Tom in Missouri
Great collection of photos.
Thanks again.
Love the site!!
D!
I especially like the photo of Grandfather Mountain. I use to live about an hour away. Now, living in Switzerland, I miss the old Appalachian Mountains, even the lousy skiing there.
Awesome.........very refreshing
Outstanding photos that really help us forget the world miseries for a while.
I'm adding the site to my favourites and rushing to share these exceptional
mementos with a lot of friends and some foes, too.
Carry on the wonderful work.
Only one word can describe this art - MAGNIFICIENT!!
I hope to see all this some day!! Pic 30 rocks!!!
In a world where negative news seems to hog the headlines, your pictures are like a deep breath of crispy, autumnal, fresh air - they remind us of the beauty and simplicity that surrounds us. Hope to see more on this theme. Thanks!
My first visit to your site and I was blown away! Especially when I saw pix from several areas of Germany I have visited over the years.(Cattle Crossing the river,e tc.) Fav? The lady with the grapes in Croatia! All were fantastic, however. Will visit your site again.... and often !!!
33 was taken on my 21st birthday :D:D:D:D
this waitress is the best present i've ever seen :D
doboslewy (HUNGARY)
WOW...thanks for sharing.
beautiful pictures. but i do not like two things: my country is, as many times in the states, represented by bavarian oktoberfest. there are far more beautiful things to see in germany's autumn. also, i do not understand how you can call the security fence between israel and the palestinian territories "israel's separation barrier". yes, it seperates, and that is a sad thing. but in the first place it safes lifes. israel has the right and obligation to protect it citizens.
maravillosa foto la de los ciervos en la berrea
