See the menu at Strega Prime, new from Nick Varano

I'm told by restauranteur Nick Varano's reps that his newest restaurant, Strega Prime, opens in Woburn on August 5. (Varano also operates Strega in the North End and Strega Waterfront.) The newest Strega is at Woburn's Tradecenter at 100 Sylvan Road, the former Beacon Grille space. It's very close to Route 128 and Middlesex Superior Court — so your post-jury duty protein fix is just a couple blocks away. Varano calls his third Strega an Italian steakhouse; the executive chef is Farouk Bazoune, who used to be executive sous chef at Mooo. (Pastry chef Suzanna Bradley also hails from Mooo.) SALADS & APPETIZERS

§ Hand Chopped Steak Tartar (prime beef, soy glaze, pickled red onion and marrow toast - $16)

§ Fried Parmesan and Truffle Calamari (gremolota, shishitto peppers, fennel, spicy Arrabbiata sauce - $13)

§ Braised Kurabuta Pork Belly (parsnip puree, exotic mushrooms, Madeira sauce -$14)

§ Roasted Beet Salad (beet puree, honey-whipped ricotta, Mache, pistachio dust - $11)


A LA CARTE STEAKS & CHOPS
Strega Prime’s prime filets and chops are accompanied by fois gras and truffle marrow butter. Guests may also choose to add on shrimp, lobster tail or fois gras for an additional charge.

§ Strega Prime Tri-Level Seafood Tower (an assortment of fresh, chilled seafood served with traditional accompaniments)

§ Israeli Osetra Caviar (served with traditional accompaniments)
