Why settle for an everyday pepperoni pizza when you could order a pie with spam and pineapple? It's a fair question. Thankfully Vine Brook Tavern chef Chris Frothingham will launch a takeout pizza program at his downtown Lexington restaurant soon, with unusual specialties like the aforementioned spam Hawaiian and béchamel and brussels with caramelized onions. Order the to-go pizza during regular restaurant hours (it's not available for dine-in). Frothingham used to run a pizza parlor in Seattle, so this isn't new territory for him. Here's a shot of his sopressata pie, another favorite. Get your spam on starting July 25, and see the full menu ahead.
