Ribelle held a soft-opening meal for friends and family couple of nights ago, Tweeting "Let's do this!" The new project from Strip T's Tim Maslow is slated to officially open on August 12. Apparently the soft opening wasn't without some drama; industry vet Patrick Maguire took to his popular Server Not Servant blog to blast an attendee who posted an extremely critical review of the (presumably private) meal on Eater Boston. At any rate, hopefully they'll iron out the kinks by Monday. One thing is for sure: With the hype surrounding Strip T's since Tim Maslow took over the kitchen after working in New York City under Momofuku's David Chang, Ribelle has captured the curiosity of Boston's culinary cognoscenti. Judge for yourself when they formally open at 1665 Beacon St.
