Late-night pizza throwdown at Island Creek Oyster Bar

Island Creek Oyster Bar is known for bivalves, but this Thursday the restaurant morphs into a late-night pizza parlor. Chef Jeremy Sewall and New York City food photographer Michael Harlan Turkell join forces for a pizza throwdown, and proceeds bolster the Island Creek Oysters Foundation's efforts toward promoting sustainable aquaculture. But don't expect simple things like pepperoni and mushrooms. For $15, you'll feast on curiosities like bahn "mizza" and bacon-and-egg pie.


Jeremy Sewall's menu:
Mushroom, Robiola, Potato, Truffle Oil
Local summer tomato sauce, oregano, pepperoni, parm
Smoked Salmon Pizza

Michael Harlan Turkell's menu:
Bahn Mizza
Everything bagel
Bacon and Egg

They'll also have antipasti, breadsticks (because nothing goes better with carbs than carbs), and dessert. The pie-slinging commences at 11 p.m.
