Great news on a long Monday: Tony Maws's new restaurant, the Kirkland Tap & Trotter, opens a week from tonight. The restaurant begins serving dinner at 5 p.m. with longtime Craigie on Main employee Danny Scampoli in the kitchen. Expect a slightly lower price point than at Craigie, with dishes coming from a wood-fired grill in the center of the dining room. When we last talked to Maws, he was thinking about grilled spice crusted chicken wings; grilled red chile salmon head; and grilled sardines Provençale. (Stay tuned for more menu updates.)
