Here's Ribelle's version of an early-bird special

The it restaurant of the moment, Tim Maslow's Ribelle, has introduced a "Shotgun Tasting Menu" on offer from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. nightly. Get three courses — which include hefty dishes like garlic knots with duck fat and honeycomb tripe with potato gnocchi — for a reasonable $30. View the menu (which will change regularly) straight ahead. And prepare to leave work early.

carrots + hazelnuts, buckthorn berry jam, mustard seeds kale + oyster crema, padron peppers, quinoa
queen scarlet turnips + meatballs, parsnip cheese
green beans + grilled veal tongue, garlic confit, squid-ink crumbs mafalde + roasted broccoli, pecorino romano


greek sardine + waxy potatoes, ‘nduja, caper-truffle mayo * rigatoni + octopus, fennel, smoked tomato
fregola sarda + clams, peppers, squash, matsutake mushrooms


duck liver mousse + sauce gribiche, chamomile, breadsticks
chicken wings + polenta, chilies, chives, eggplant
honeycomb tripe + potato gnocchi, lima beans, basil
