Sneak peek at some Alden & Harlow menu items and drinks

Michael Scelfo opens Alden & Harlow soon (very soon!) in Harvard Square. (Read all about it here.) In the meantime, he slipped me info on a few favorite dishes along with cocktails from bar manager Seth Freidus.

Scelfo's working on chicken fried rabbit with celery, apple, blue cheese, and chile oil; pickled corn pancakes with buttermilk, maple, and shishitos; and grilled foie gras with spiced fruit, sherry vinegar, warm crumpet.

For drinks, look for McGregor's Garden, made with Fighting Cock bourbon, spiced parsnip puree (really), Benedictine, and lemon; Dr. Zaius (their take on the Planet of the Apes), with Plantation silver rum, Old Monk rum, banana syrup, fresh lime, pineapple , and Angostura bitters; and draft cocktail Noye's Fireplace with blended scotch, roasted chestnut-infused Vermont maple liqueur, Swedish punch, and mole bitters.
