Joseph Maydell is a flight controller for the International Space Station at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston. He came to TEDxBeaconStreet 2012 and gave a talk about how he founded High Altitude Science to help others experience the thrills of space exploration, just like he does each day at work.

Following this talk, Maydell left the stage to begin the TEDxBeaconStreet High Altitude Balloon Launch and what was to come can only be described as Joseph Maydell’s Excellent Space Balloon Adventure.
