Snooping around in the photo archives is a pleasure of working at the Globe. Nosy by nature, not 'cause I hate-cha, I managed to dig this one up, taken in 1977 by Boston Globe photographer Tom Landers who clearly had l'esprit of Dirty Old Boston.  He captured this gem after some poor DOB'r was unable to manage his crate around a pothole and lost a hubcap in the bargain. While his grimacing passenger appears to be railing against the loss of part of his morning coffee to his suit, our driver maintains a stoic posture as he waits for an unpleasant moment to pass behind his aviator shades. In the mean time, Happy shoveling!
