DOWNTOWN CROSSING -- Mi Kim cares for more than 1,000 hairpieces at Wig World in Temple Place. Prices range from $39.99 for synthetic wigs to $2,000 for human hair. She also sells toupees, half and three-quarter wigs, beards, and mustaches. Once a year she goes back to her native South Korea to brings in new fashions. If she doesn't have a particular wig in stock, it can often be found in a catalogue. These include styles from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries: a Bach wig, a barrister's wig, a Martha Washington, Marie Antoinette, Ichabod Crane, Ben Franklin. For a more modern mane, there's a Willie Nelson, a JFK, Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland -- even an Ethel Mertz.
