The City Seen from The Boston Globe
BOSTON -- Brian Fadem and Ross Lichtenberg are Boston University sophomores and fixtures at BU hockey games. Lichtenberg dresses as, well, Jesus. Fadem goes as a hot dog. It's not exactly clear why. Lichtenberg says something about hockey being 'more of a religion than a sport.' And Fadem says even non-believers can believe in hot dogs, adding: 'We did it last year, so we're doing it again.' Fadem's hot dog costume is a former Halloween costume the he wore in his native Pennsylvania. His mother made the felt condiments on the front and also made Lichtenberg's sash and logo. When asked what he hoped to leave behind to the BU community, Fadem said, 'I'll leave my toppings behind so that they can hang them from the rafters one day.'
