THE STATE'S Commission on Judicial Conduct is taking a strong stand on the case of Superior Court Judge Ernest Murphy, who sent letters demanding that the publisher of the Boston Herald pay him money and not appeal a libel verdict against the paper. But even the proposed $25,000 fine, public censure, and 30-day unpaid suspension don't go far enough. (Full article: 335 words)
