The state plan to weatherize homes could create as many as 6,000 construction-related jobs. Contractors and officials should settle on a unified living wage, plus benefits, to offer the workers. It should be somewhat higher than the state minimum of $8 per hour, but lower than the prevailing wages negotiated by unions in better economic times. (Full article: 311 words)
