With First District Congressman John Olver’s decision not to seek re-election, the feeling among some Democrats is that remapping to eliminate a congressional district should now be a relative snap. After all, there will now only be nine incumbents running in 2012, so if redistricting is done with their convenience upper-most in mind, no incumbent need be pitted against another.
