The first snow has fallen and the faces of people at the tent encampment at Dewey Square have also weathered, as if the gravity of their situation were just now sinking in. Some hardened activists have joined the younger protesters, sharing meals and despair. But this deepening of commitment, coupled with the certainty of worse conditions ahead, should prompt the leaders of Occupy Boston to hone their mission.
