Massachusetts got some terrific news this month - so why isn’t state Secretary of Education Paul Reville satisfied? Bay State students have once again turned in a national-pack-leading performance on the National Assessment of Educational Progress exam, often called “the nation’s report card.’’ But there’s still a stubborn achievement gap separating white and minority students. The Commonwealth needs to do right by all its kids.
