Peace within reach for Sudan?
Lucian Perkins for US Holocaust Memorial Museum
Sunday Achan, 24, takes the bus and walks home from work. It takes her two hours each way every day. Sunday's parents fled Sudan during the war and ended up in a Ugandan refugee camp, where she, her mother, and sister were captured by the LRA. Sunday witnessed them being killed by the LRA and was badly hurt herself. She escaped with her sister's two children, who she is now raising on her own in a small village outside of Juba.
