HOW INTERESTING that a Globe editorial attacked Hillary Clinton for merely supporting this country's foreign policy. In fact, mutual assured destruction in response to a nuclear attack on us or an ally has been the clearly stated policy of every administration since Dwight Eisenhower; the only thing Clinton is guilty of is using the synonym "obliterate" for "destroy." But perhaps the Globe would prefer that the next president warn potential nuclear attackers that, instead, our response would be to file a protest with the UN. That would certainly make Ahmadinejad think twice!
Anyway, the bomb dropped in the 1964 film "Dr. Strangelove" was not in response to any attack. It was simply the result of a general who learned to stop worrying and love the bomb, hardly an appropriate moniker for Hillary Clinton.
