RE "TEACHER'S fight ends in deportation" (City & Region, May 22): What kind of country has this become when a revered math teacher at one of the most extraordinary schools in this country is whisked away to the Ivory Coast without a word? It is cruel to the man, Obain Attouoman, his students and co-workers at Fenway High School, and his wife and family who all fear for his safety. Anyone who looks at the facts of his case can only be shocked at this outcome. Attouoman is an exceptional person, and this country should be as grateful to have him here as the students are at Fenway High.
