HILLARY CLINTON seems to always be given the benefit of the doubt; no longer. Her argument for staying in the race is specious and revolting. There is no primary in June this year that will deliver her the nomination, and to refer to assassination in her explanation of why she is staying in the race is beyond the pale.

When King Henry II anguished aloud, "Who will free me from this turbulent priest?" his knights acted on those words and assassinated Thomas Becket, and gave the king so-called deniability. Western civilization and American history are replete with examples of words that do great harm.
