THE MEDIA drumbeat against Manny reminds me of when I was a kid and the press hated Ted Williams. "He didn't tip his hat . . . he was divorced . . . he never wore neckties to formal events . . . yadda yadda yadda." Now with Manny they don't like some of his antics. Never mind that he has won so many games, that he makes David Ortiz a better hitter, and is one of the best hitters alive.
Who cares what happened between the lines on the field? Just the fans. It was fun to watch him play. It's a game! Now the morons have stirred up the masses to say it's time for Manny to leave. It's called biting your nose off to spite your face. So much for this year.
