OUR THOUGHTS go out to the woman who was raped last Friday at the MBTA Back Bay Station ("Suspect in rape at T station a parolee," City & Region, Sept. 9).

Despite being under attack, she fought back. By kicking the gun away, going immediately to the hospital, and then reporting the crime, she showed courage and resolve.

We are safer tonight because of her strength. Our thoughts and prayers are with her.
