A candidate who doesn't connect with these voters

AS A woman, Sarah Palin does not speak for me. As a mother, Sarah Palin does not speak for me, nor does she reflect the aspirations, hopes, and fears I have for my child. As a Christian, Sarah Palin does not speak for me. It is not for her to determine, nor to declare, what is "God's will." However, I'm fairly certain that if God has a specific will we can ascertain on Earth, it does not include support for a war in Iraq or anywhere else. As a member of a community in Cambridge, I do not believe Sarah Palin speaks for me when she belittles community organizing. This is how Americans of good will improve the lives of others, helping people who need a hand up.

Sarah Palin does not speak for me.

SARAH PALIN talks a lot about tax cuts in Alaska and tax rebates in Alaska. Alaska has oil and gas revenue, and the run-up in oil and gas prices has been a windfall for the state. This is not a result of any government policies. Alaska's economy will not translate to the lower 48.

Alaska has one of the lowest high school graduation rates in the nation and Palin has done nothing about it, just as her Republican predecessors did nothing about it.

Palin wants to teach intelligent design alongside evolution.

She does not believe global warming is influenced by human actions. She does not support conservation measures for clean air, clean water, or wildlife protection.

These last items are her personal beliefs and I do not begrudge anyone their personal beliefs.

Palin however, wants to make her beliefs the law of the land and use force to make me live in accordance with them. With that I have a problem.

Taken all together, she is more like Bush than even John McCain is. She is sure hoping we don't find out.

I DON'T get it. Would anyone choose someone with Governor Sarah Palin's thin resume to be his or her lawyer, doctor, or corporate CEO? Why then would anyone vote for her to help run the country? This isn't elitism, this is common sense.
