HURRAY FOR Robert Campbell's sensible analysis of Boston City Hall as seen through a contemporary renovation of a similar building at Yale ("Loving care for a Brutalist giant," Arts & Entertainment, Nov. 2). The two buildings, our City Hall and the Yale Art + Architecture building, share strengths and weaknesses. The Yale renovation illustrates how some creative care and refurbishment can bring the life back to these structures, both serious examples of the Le Corbusier style that was, and is, in the mainstream of architectural history.

Let's have some creative discussion toward positive renovation, not destroying City Hall to make way for more forgettable buildings and the erection of a monument to the mayor.
