Don't read racism in vote against Obama

I READ Shane Cronin's Nov. 10 letter about the staying power of racism among whites who did not vote for Barack Obama. I agree with Cronin when he writes, "Let's face facts." I voted for the candidate who declared he would protect new life and has the record to prove it. This is America, folks.
