IF YOU'RE going to use the editorial page to lobby for increases in state employee health insurance premiums, at least be honest about what it is that you want ("Call the House back," Nov. 8).
Don't call it "restructuring of healthcare payments for state employees." Be honest: "The Boston Globe supports increasing health insurance premiums for most state employees by 33 to 67 percent as soon as possible." Don't say that this would "save about $28.5 million." Be honest: "The Boston Globe wants most state employees to be forced to take pay cuts equal to $28.5 million to help balance the state's budget."
The Globe's failure to articulate what this proposal means for thousands of state employees, on either the editorial page or in news articles, is appalling.
