I WAS disappointed by your choice of photo and headline on the cover of the Nov. 24 Sports section ("Punched-up effort"). For arguably the most exciting overall game of the season - one that included six lead changes and extraordinary performances by several Patriots (Matt Cassel: 415 yards passing; Randy Moss: three TDs; Wes Welker: 120 yards receiving; Pats defense: only 25 yards in eight plays against the Wildcat formation) - you chose to lead with a half-page photo of the five-second fight between Patriots tackle Matt Light and Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder that was undoubtedly the low point of the game for both teams.
How shall I explain to my two young children - and what does it say about The Boston Globe - that of several hours of an outstanding competition, these five seconds were the ones you chose to celebrate?
