RABBI GILBERT S. Rosenthal ("We get beset by tyranny of 'one true faith' ," Letters, Nov. 30) should realize that when it comes to religion, one size does not fit all. He complains that some religions feel that they have all the answers and that other religions are wrong. Well, what's wrong with that? I believe that my church and understanding of the Bible are right, and that other churches and beliefs are wrong. Does this make me a threat to world peace? If I did not believe that evangelical churches were right in their theology, then I would go find other religions or churches that I believed were right.

But according to Rosenthal, that could be difficult, as there is no religion that holds a "monopoly on truth," no one with all the right answers. This would leave me floating around in a mass of religious confusion with no hope for the well-being of my eternal soul. I would live in a world of religions and churches whose only claim to fame would be that none of them is too sure about anything.

Rosenthal feels this would be a step up to a more peaceful world?
