IN RESPONSE to Representative Peter King’s remarks about Michael Jackson (“N.Y. congressman calls late singer a ‘pervert,’ ’’ Page A5, July 7):

First, he should check his own neighborhood to see how many pedophiles and perverts are living there.

Second, he should talk to the parents who let their children be a part of Jackson’s life, and ask himself what that says about our country.

Third, what legacy will Peter King leave for millions of people all over the world to celebrate? Bigotry? Perhaps.
