SEAT BELT SCOFFLAWS

A pocket-book approach may work

WE REALLY do not require any additional laws requiring the enforcement of automobile seat belt use.

Simply change all auto insurance policies with medical coverage for drivers and passengers of any vehicles involved in accidents so that the policies would not cover medical expenses for anyone found not to be wearing a seat belt.

Include all other medical policies available to individuals, so that any medical payments would be excluded in the event of injuries resulting from nonuse of automobile seat belts.

Remember, if you board an airplane and refuse to buckle your seat belt, you will be removed from the plane. You may also have trouble with a ticket refund.
