I AM writing this on Thursday, Oct. 15, another day in America.
Another day that the Senate does not pass an unemployment extension.
Another day that millions of Americans go to bed hungry.
Another day that millions of Americans try to make ends meet and can’t.
Another day that Americans can’t afford health care and medicine.
Another day that Americans have to make tough decisions about which bills to pay.
Another day that millions of Americans worry about being evicted.
Another day that the Senate plays games with people’s lives.
Another day that Americans are helpless, and powerless to do anything about it.
Another day the senators play politics without caring for their constituents.
Another day that the senators get paid, and fed and cared for.
Another day that the senators forget who put them there, and why they are there.
