RE ‘‘A cynical gimmick against Cape Wind’’ (Editorial, Oct. 27): You are absolutely correct that I am offended by the Cape Wind project, and there is nothing cynical about it.

I refuse to accept that, in order to be ‘‘green,’’ I must stand aside and allow a corporate entity to steal our natural resources to make money for their investors, and must supply the tax dollars to underwrite the whole thing.

Cape Wind is a corporation and not a nonprofit charity, yet any voice raised in objection to its plan is derided as selfish and unworthy of consideration. Alternative energy projects are supported by the Alliance to Protect Nantucket Sound and its supporters, but the Cape Wind project does not deserve anyone’s support.
