AFTERMATH OF ATTACK AT CLINIC
IN THE Oct. 29 front-page article “Guard hailed as a hero,’’ off-duty security guard Paul Langone is duly credited for saving Dr. Astrid Desrosiers’s life. Thankfully, Langone intervened in a rare but deadly situation - a therapist’s worst nightmare - by shooting and killing a patient who stabbed Desrosiers during a session.
Let us also recognize, however, all the victims in this tragedy. The patient, Jay Carciero, is dead, and leaves behind a bereaved family.
Such terrible incidents are traumatic for all involved.
