I READ the March 10 letter from David J. Berg (“Bag check on the T: Nothing better to do?’’) and thought, what a whine. Those officers at the Back Bay Orange Line T station were attempting to provide security for Berg and countless other riders. Instead of thanking them, he “exercised’’ his right to refuse the inspection, leave that station, and go on to another station.
I’m sure the victims of the Madrid and London bombings wished someone had been checking bags on their two fateful days.
I think Berg needs to come to terms with the fact that the world has changed and has become extremely dangerous for all of us. I for one appreciate any and all efforts to ensure that my wife and I get to where we are going safely.
