THANK YOU so much for highlighting the way the MBTA bombards us, in ominous voices, with the dire consequences of traveling on their trains (“MBTA: Ding inflation,’’ Editorial, Aug. 2). I have written to them suggesting other possibilities if they must lecture us helpless waiting crowds — for instance, “Stand aside so passengers can get off and on the train’’ or “Please be polite and offer your seat to elders.’’ Maybe your editorial will do the trick. I will be all ears.
