DEBATE TRIGGERED AS WAR TARGET IS HIT

Those who target this country lose citizenship privilege

REGARDING YOUR Oct. 1 editorial “A rare act, killing of al-Awlaki accords with sound legal rules’’: Discussion of the so-called legality of targeting US citizens who have declared war on America is inane. We need to encourage Congress to pass a law stripping American citizenship from those who have chosen to pursue this path. Let’s put to rest the ridiculous conversation on whether we should eliminate those who would commit mass murder. They no longer deserve the privilege of being an American citizen.
