I CAN just imagine the discussion between European leaders after they heard Mitt Romney’s speech ( “Romney vows vast military growth; He calls president’s policies ‘feckless’; some say candidate’s priorities skewed,’’ Page A1, Oct. 8). “This is just what we wanted - the United States will continue to provide the vast majority of troops and weapons for all future wars. We won’t have to pay anything!’’ Future conflicts will be just like Libya, where American pilots flew American jets and fired American-made ammunition under the name of NATO.
